Hello Friends!
We are back from a fun adventure.
We stayed at the Atlantis Casino and explored Reno, Nevada. We tried a bit of gambling, but did not enjoy it at all.
We didn't like the smoke in the casino, so we went out and explored the city. We found that they have a river walk (tiny compared to San Antonio's) and ate at a great restaurant while listening to the river.

Our day at Tahoe was quite an adventure. It is something to stand on a beach where the temp is over 80 and to look up to see snow on the tops of the mountains all around you. We drove the entire 72 miles around the lake. I was really scared on a couple of hairpin turns where there isn't even a guard rail. Jeff laughed at me.
The views are incredible!

I used plenty of sunscreen and lots of lip balm, so I did quite well. I really would not want to live in such a dry environment, though. My lips were parched and my breathing was affected. I think that the dryness made my Sjogren's worse. I was glad to get back to the coast!
Enjoy the pics!

So happy to hear that you enjoyed Lake Tahoe, M! It is paradise, isn't it?

Superman and I got married at Emerald Bay, overlooking the lake. It was a stunning background for a sunset wedding and just an hour from our home.

So glad the you and Jeff were able to get away for some well-deserved R and R.

This is just another of the reasons why I could never leave Cali...I'm an hour from snow capped mountains, 2.5 hours to the beach and, most importantly, 15 mins away from my kiddos.

Now, if they could just balance the State's budget...
