This poem was sent to me thanks to Shanniefly, one of our newest members. It's so beautiful I couldn't resist sharing it with everyone:

A young man was frusturated about his life, and he was walking along with his father. He said he just didn't understand why he was put on the earth, and why he was going through the terrible times he was. At that moment, his fater grabbed his pocket knife and cut off a rosebud. He handed it to his son, and asked him to unfold it...the son got angry and asked what that would prove. The father said...please son...just try to open the rosebud. The son tried and of course failed to open it. He was puzzled and looked at his father...What does this mean???

It is only a tiny rosebud, A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unflold the petals, With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers, Is not known to such as I.
God opens the flowers so sweetly, When in my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud, This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have the wisdom, To unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust in him for his leading, Each moment of every day.
I will look to him for his guidance, Each step of the pilgram way.

The pathway that lies before me, Only my Heavenly father knows.
I'll trust him to unfold the moments, Just as he unfolds the rose.

Oh what a beautiful poem! Thank you both!

We need to remember that life is filled with hope, with awe and with newness each day. I'm at my desk looking out at snow and a brightening sky, it has gone from darkness to salmon to a peachy gold right now. I think sunrise is about 1/2 hour away. So thank you for sharing a beautiful poem to start a beautiful day!
